Job description
A Perth-based technology company working at the intersection of AI and mineral exploration is seeking geologists to join a growing remote annotation team. This is a flexible, part-time engagement suited to geologists looking to supplement their income around existing commitments — field rotations, PhD study, or consulting work. WHAT THE WORK INVOLVES Reviewing high-resolution drill core tray images using a purpose-built online platform and identifying five geological features: - Lithological boundaries - Fractures and structural discontinuities - Veins - Alteration zones - Sulphide mineralisation No specialised software experience required — the platform is browser-based and straightforward. A short paid test is conducted before formal engagement. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Degree-qualified geologist (BSc minimum, MSc or PhD preferred) - Experience with core logging in hard rock mineral exploration or geotechnical settings - Comfortable working independently and remotely - Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to feature identification TERMS - Fully remote, flexible scheduling - Competitive hourly rate — negotiable based on experience - Ongoing work with increasing volume over coming months - NDA required prior to project briefing TO APPLY Send a brief introduction and your CV to jdmgroup@outlook.com.au.
